Ap\u00f3s reuni\u00e3o com o secretariado municipal, o prefeito Jabes Ribeiro (PP) anunciou a suspens\u00e3o do projeto por motivos \u201cexternos e internos\u201d. De acordo com o prefeito, a redu\u00e7\u00e3o da receita dos cofres municipais em 2015 e impossibilidade do Governo do Estado ampliar a participa\u00e7\u00e3o no evento \u00e9 a principal causa. \u201cInfelizmente, mesmo sabendo da import\u00e2ncia que representa o Aleluia para diversos setores do munic\u00edpio, seria uma irresponsabilidade nossa mant\u00ea-lo com o quadro econ\u00f4mico vivido hoje\u201d, afirma o gestor. Segundo ele, na edi\u00e7\u00e3o passada o Governo da Bahia investiu cerca de R$ 700 mil no evento. Mas, este ano, o governo s\u00f3 poderia participar com, no m\u00e1ximo, R$ 200 mil.
