Assim como toda a popula\u00e7\u00e3o itajuipense, a C\u00e2mara Municipal de Itaju\u00edpe foi surpreendida pela not\u00edcia de que o Hospital Dr. Montival Lucas, que pertence a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Beneficente de Itajuipe ir\u00e1 a leil\u00e3o no pr\u00f3ximo m\u00eas de maio devido  dividas alt\u00edssimas acumuladas  com o INSS. Logo ap\u00f3s a \u00faltima Sess\u00e3o Ordin\u00e1ria da C\u00e2mara (11), os vereadores se dirigiram ao HML, em busca de informa\u00e7\u00f5es concretas a respeito do fato. Os vereadores conversaram com o Diretor Jur\u00eddico do hospital, Paulo Pinto, que informou a todos sobre a situa\u00e7\u00e3o em que se encontra o HML neste momento, al\u00e9m de informar aos vereadores que a institui\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e1 preparando uma resposta jur\u00eddica para adiar ou at\u00e9 mesmo impedir que o leil\u00e3o ocorra, pois entendem que a sa\u00fade \u00e9 um bem de todos e um direito que n\u00e3o pode ser tirado da popula\u00e7\u00e3o itajuipense. Diante da situa\u00e7\u00e3o apresentada, a prefeita Gilka Badar\u00f3 (PSB) e os vereadores est\u00e3o acompanhando de perto toda a situa\u00e7\u00e3o vivenciada pelo Hospital Dr. Montival Lucas para que, assim que a situa\u00e7\u00e3o jur\u00eddica for definida, propor um amplo debate na comunidade sobre a import\u00e2ncia de fortalecer ainda mais o \u00fanico hospital do munic\u00edpio. A Prefeitura de Itaju\u00edpe,diferente da gest\u00e3o passada vem repassando religiosamente atrav\u00e9s de subven\u00e7\u00e3o social 40 mil reais mensais para o Hospital Dr. Montival Lucas. Na ultima sexta-feira (12\/04), a prefeita Gilka Badar\u00f3  tamb\u00e9m se reuniu com a diretoria do HML na tentativa de impedir que a entidade seja leiloada.<\/div>\n
